Commercial Equipment Vehicle Finance Intern

The underwriting teams underwrite risk (i.e., selection/rejection of new and renewal business) and analyze quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepare reports accordingly. They administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, laws and regulations.
The intern for this team will provide overall support to the Underwriting and Portfolio Management team. Assists in the evaluation and review of existing business and new accounts. Contributes to the profitable growth of specific program(s) by maintaining pricing integrity, product excellence, and the development of meaningful performance metrics and controls.
This 2025 Summer Internship is for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and Spring 2026.

Essential Functions:
+ Collects, packages, reviews and reconciles loan application documents including financial/credit exhibits under various underwriting programs.
+ Orders and performs the preliminary review of all third-party reports (appraisal, inspection and environmental) for compliance with guidelines.
+ Analyzes, interprets and underwrites complex transactions in compliance with respective agency guidelines.
+ Conducts detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions.
+ Assists the underwriter in preparing and presenting comprehensive loan approval package to credit committee.
Requirements:
+ Currently an undergraduate student at University or College
+ Expected to graduate between December 2025 – May 2026
+ Cumulative GPA or 3.5 or above
+ Preferably majoring in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or related field
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong analytical skills and proficient with financial statements
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
+ Ability to work well with others and on teams
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Demonstrates strong judgement
+ Some understanding and knowledge of Federal banking regulations
+ Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion
Working Conditions:
+ Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the internship as dictated by management and business needs
+ Travel to multiple facilities may be required
+ May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
+ May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
+ May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard
+ Corporate / satellite office role
