Wright Contracting, Inc., a reputable commercial construction company based in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial carpentry, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both under the guidance of a superintendent on larger projects and independently on smaller projects. Trim carpentry experience is a plus.

- Perform various carpentry tasks on commercial construction projects, including framing, drywall installation, and finishing.
- Work under the direction of a superintendent on larger projects, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Independently handle smaller projects, from start to finish, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Lead and guide other team members when required, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and installation specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, superintendents, and clients.
- Stay motivated to learn and research new products and techniques to enhance your skills and advance within the company.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (ability to switch job sites during the day if needed).
- Must have a resume with job history and references.
- Ability to pass a government background check and drug test.
- Proven reliability, with a strong commitment to punctuality (must be at work by 7 am).
- Motivation to complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Eagerness to learn and research manufacturer's installation specifications for new and unfamiliar products.
- Strong drive to succeed and advance within the company.
- Ability to lead others and work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to take direction from superintendents and learn new skills.
- Open to candidates with 1 hour commute.
