Job Title: Project Coordinator
Job Summary: Gpac has partnered with one of the top commercial flooring companies in the area to help them add a project coordinator to their growing team. The Project Coordinator will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of flooring projects for commercial clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all necessary resources are allocated effectively.
- Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate the successful execution of flooring projects.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing project updates to ensure client satisfaction.
- Scheduling: Manage project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and delays are communicated promptly.
- Quality Control: Assist in conducting site inspections to ensure work meets company standards and specifications.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or delays and work with the team to develop solutions.
- Budget Management: Track project expenses and assist in maintaining the budget to ensure profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare regular status reports for project stakeholders, summarizing progress and any potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in project coordination, preferably in the construction or flooring industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of flooring materials and installation processes is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional travel to project sites.
- Work may involve some physical activity, including lifting materials and equipment.
