Art Newsome, Inc. is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of refrigerant piping, brazing, occasional gas piping, condensate piping, control wiring, and start-up/commissioning of systems. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service, collaborating with the ANI team, and working with subcontractors on job sites. Strong communication and planning skills are essential for completing projects on time and within scope.

- Install refrigerant piping, brazing, condensate piping, gas piping, and control wiring, including zoning systems.
- Perform leak testing of piping systems, refrigerant reclamation, and proper system charging.
- Conduct start-up and commissioning of completed systems, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards.
- Adjust sheaves for 3-phase package equipment with belt-driven motors.
- Read and interpret job plans, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions for each piece of equipment.
- Reconnect power wiring connections and ensure systems are fully operational.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain high-quality work according to company standards.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the ANI team and subcontractors on-site to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Proactively manage materials, forecast work weeks in advance, and understand job timelines to maintain smooth project progression.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in HVAC piping, wiring, and commissioning.
- Basic knowledge of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) and International Fuel Gas Code (IFC).
- Master or Journeyman license is a plus but not required.
- The specific tools needed, including meters and gauges.
- Experience with retrofitting and change-outs.
- Strong HVAC installation experience, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and job plans.
- Safe work habits and reliability are essential.OSHA preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme summer heat and winter cold.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background clearance and drug screening.
