Adams Power has been in the Elkhorn, WI area since 1988. We provide electrical, plumbing, HVAC, power, and solar solutions to industrial, commercial, and residential customers.
We are seeking our next Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Estimator to join our Generator Division. As a C&I Estimator, you will provide cost estimates and proposals for standby power projects in various sectors. You will work with different teams to design and deliver customized solutions that meet customer needs and comply with codes and standards.
What you’ll do:
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimations
- Attend events at local box stores (whom we partner with for generator sales) to generate leads
- Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment required to install and operate generators
- Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, considering all relevant factors, including logistics, installation, and maintenance
- Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals, including technical specifications, cost breakdowns, timelines, and answer any questions or concerns from existing and potential clients
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of estimates
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and client interactions
What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Drivers' License with a clean driving record over the past 5 years
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales estimating, preferably in the electrical, power generation, or industrial equipment sector
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial generator systems and applications
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills
