Position Summary:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for working closely with Producers in servicing a book of business including new and renewals with an emphasis placed on retention. Meet service and sales initiatives with increasing client size through value added products, resources and services. Mentors and provides direction to Account Technicians for processing and validating service requests. Demonstrates our Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coordinates the renewal review of current clients with the Producer and/or Account Executive through coverage summary, loss runs, premium summary, requesting renewal quote from present carrier, updating and completing applications and forms, sending submissions to rater and proposal preparation.
· Participates in the new business marketing process as directed by Producer and collaborates with the Commercial Lines Rater for submission and placement.
· Responds in a timely manner to inquiries/requests varying in complexity and executes a resolution through the appropriate decision-making process.
· Professionally communicate and consult with clients through verbal and written correspondence that contributes to the satisfaction and retention of account.
· Handle normal account service activity including but not limited to endorsements, audits, underwriting correspondence, invoicing and claims.
· Recognize discrepancies in information; research and prove accurate information; communicate modifications with appropriate parties.
· Identify and utilize opportunities to build the client relationship through the solicitation of value added products and services including referrals to other First Insurance Group lines of business and First Federal Bank partners.
· Attends agency and department meetings, educational training and development courses, carrier functions, and social events.
· Knowledgeable of and adopt changes to insurance compliance rules, agency procedures, processes and workflows;
· Complete other duties as assigned.
Education, Certification, License and Experience:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Property and casualty license required.
· CPCU, CIC, or CISR – Preferred but not required.
· Compliance with Continuing Education requirements for licensing and/or designations.
· Three - Five years minimum experience in a Commercial Lines Insurance.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of the agencies’ products, services, policies and procedures
· Knowledge of carriers’ products and available coverages
· Overall general knowledge of the insurance industry.
· Excellent computer, interpersonal and customer service skills including utilization of agency management system
· Ability to effectively collaborate with others
· Pays high attention to detail
· Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Highly motivated, goal oriented and organized individual that is driven to achieve individual, department, and agency goals.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Ability to drive a vehicle for travel is required for the position.
