About the Job
Risman Insurance Agencies is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. Risman Insurance Agencies is based in Medford, MA, and has additional offices located in Tewksbury, Danvers, Dorchester, Melrose, Burlington, and Dracut. If one of these locations is more convenient than our main office in Medford, we welcome employees to work out of that location instead.
We are a team of more than 40 professionals, and after completing onboarding, we allow for each employee to have a work-from-home day each week.
Actual salary may be higher than listed based on the candidate's experience.
Salary Range: $80000.00 - $110000.00 per year

Responsibilities
You will work as a member of a team of experienced, talented, and passionate insurance agents who provide outstanding service to our clients. Below are some of the responsibilities that this role includes:
- Manage a book of business of existing commercial lines
- Handle renewals, service requests, claims, billing, and new policies
- Review existing book of business for cross-selling and account round opportunities
- Document information in our agency management system (AMS360)
- Rate insurance policies and complete all phases of the insurance application
- Prepare and present quotes to clients and prospects
- Educate clients about insurance coverage options
- Work with direct and wholesale insurance providers
Requirements
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proactive in handling responsibilities. The candidate will be detail-oriented, work well with a team, and will have the following traits/experience:
- A current P&C (Property & Casualty) license preferred
- Experience using AMS360 or similar management software preferred
- Minimum 3 years middle market and small commercial experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
- Ability to learn and adapt to technology quickly
- Open to receiving regular constructive feedback relating to your performance
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and a friendly, positive attitude with both clients and coworkers
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service at all times
- Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen, and problem-solve with minimal assistance
