Turbeville Insurance Agency was founded in 1991 by Bill Turbeville Jr. as a full-service Independent Insurance Agency. Turbeville Insurance Agency has grown to include four office locations (Beaufort, Charleston, Columbia and Lexington) with over 65 dedicated and experienced staff members available to meet all clients’ insurance needs. The agency works with over 70 carriers allowing us to write coverage for personal lines, commercial lines as well as life and health policies. Position Overview
The Commercial Line (CL) Assistant is a full-time, in-office role in our Columbia, South Carolina office. The CL Assistant plays an integral role in Commercial Lines Operations by providing support to the CL Account Managers and CL Producers through policy management, client file quality control, and agency bill invoicing. The CL assistant must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and have a willingness to support all staff through various processes.
The following is a representative list of the tasks preformed within the position description including but not limited to:

Prepare and process requests for certificates and renewal certificates.

Review basic policies in agency management software

Back up receptionist

Prepare Auto ID cards

Handle FR10’s, FR31’s, and run MVR’s

Request reports from various carriers
-
Invoice
-
Process FR10’s, FR31’s ect., in the ALIR system.

Request or Run Loss Reports
-
Invoice agency bill premium bearing transactions
-
Prepare cover letter and assemble binders for producers
-
Order change Requests, update Agency Management Software and add appropriate follow up note.

Assist CL Account Manager with Follow up activities as needed. – (ex. Sending second request on endt. Req. processing endorsements, processing simple renewal policies, following up on intent to cancel.)

Invoice all Agency Bill premium bearing transactions.

Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system.

Perform additional duties/functions/tasks or special projects at the direction of Agency Management.

Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:

Industry experience preferred but not required
-
P&C license a plus, but not initially required
Required Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
