MIDTOWN ATLANTA-BASED LAW-FIRM SEEKING MID-SENIOR COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ATTORNEY
A prestigious and well-established national law firm headquartered in the heart of Atlanta, GA seeks a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigator to join its busy, collaborative practice group. The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of experience in complex commercial litigation, preferably in commercial litigation and/or financial services litigation, in state and federal court. First chair experience is preferred. Experience with appellate matters and eDiscovery would be a bonus. Alternatively, experience in defamation, data privacy, cybersecurity, creditor's rights, bankruptcy, healthcare, intellectual property, labor and employment, compliance, or internal investigations could be considered. GA bar membership is required or the ability and intent to become a member of the GA bar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including state and federal court cases.
- Handle financial services litigation and potentially appellate matters and eDiscovery.
- Develop case strategies and advise clients on legal options and risks.
- Collaborate with the practice group to provide comprehensive legal services.
- Potentially work in areas such as defamation, data privacy, cybersecurity, bankruptcy, creditor's rights, intellectual property, healthcare, labor and employment, compliance, or investigations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, top 20% of class and member of law review and/or participated in moot court.
- Active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar or ability and intent to become a member.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
- Extensive experience in state and federal court litigation.
- First chair litigation experience preferred.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
- Top organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and travel periodically as needed.
