Structural Component Systems, Inc. of Fremont, NE is actively seeking an experienced commercial lumber siding estimator responsible for preparing bids using Sage/Timberline, PlanSwift and other design related software. Minimum 5 years experience in commercial siding estimating required.
This exempt-level position can be remote anywhere in the USA, or work from our Omaha, Nebraska Office or Grimes, Iowa Office, with typical hours Monday - Friday, 45 hours/week. Very competitive wages offered based on experience.

The Commercial Siding Estimator position is responsible for accurately estimating all types of siding products and other materials required for its installation. The Commercial designation encompasses Multifamily, Hospitality, Mixed-use (Vertical & Horizontal), Build-to-Rent Residential development, Institutional, Industrial, Commercial (Heavy & Light) and other similar work. Estimates are to be completed thoroughly and according to engineered and designed plans, incorporating code and product specific requirements. The position will work under general supervision and will need to exercise judgment on their own work priorities on a regular basis.
Job Duties:
- Prepare bid & reference information utilizing Timberline, PlanSwift, and other design related software.
- Review material takeoffs and calculations for accuracy.
- Assist sales with clear information presentation
- Communicate effectively with all organizational levels and customer representatives.
- Provide problem solving solutions using Building Codes and product information.
- Prepare detailed construction proposals from customer blueprints for customer presentation.
- Perform other duties as required.
