We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for managing all preconstruction phases of commercial projects. You will be working on projects that include retail, office construction, ground up, and tilt-up. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are well-planned, cost-effective, and completed on time.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all preconstruction phases of commercial projects including ground up and tilt-up.
- Work closely with project teams to develop comprehensive project estimates and budgets.
- Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine required materials, labor, and time requirements.
- Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals.
- Coordinate and manage submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project strategies and schedules.
- Conduct risk management to minimize project risks and potential cost overruns.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Continually monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and apply this knowledge to project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on preconstruction management.
- Proven experience with commercial projects, tilt-up, ground-up, retail construction, and office construction.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and budgeting.
- Proficient in preparing bid proposals and managing submittals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-informed decisions.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and other relevant technologies.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and quality in all work.
- A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
