Position Overview:
The Commercial Division Project Manager at Thomas Fence Co. is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial fencing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a high level of organization, leadership, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Execution:
- Oversee daily operations and activities on the project site.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
- Approve expenditures and manage invoicing processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide updates on project status.
- Address client concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage project teams, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve project goals.
- Quality Control and Safety:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project records are organized and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the construction or fencing industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
