We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Refrigeration Technician! Gpac, a 30+ year-old recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Mechanical industry. This is your chance to join a team that values both exceptional service and a friendly working environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration equipment including ice machines. Customer settings range from local restaurants, school, grocery stores, or anywhere that serves food commercially within the region. The Service Technician is responsible for a company vehicle and is required to drive to various locations to service customer equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment and ice machines, and related equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions, and proactively address them to prevent downtime and disruptions in service.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, utilizing a range of tools and technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Perform regular cleaning, sanitization, and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and facility managers to understand equipment usage patterns and provide guidance on best practices for equipment operation, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including documentation of performed tasks, parts used, and associated costs.
- Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and equipment advancements to provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Assist in the procurement of replacement parts, tools, and supplies, and maintain an organized inventory to support efficient repairs and maintenance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have EPA 608 Type Universal
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience is required
