We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Strategy
Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role
in supporting our Commercial Strategy team, leading strategic projects,
and providing actionable insights to drive our business forward.
As a Commercial Strategy Advisor your will hone and develop:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies and plans
Problem-Solving: Expertise in diagnosing business problems and recommending
solutions
Leadership: Lead planning sessions and work with senior leadership
Industry Experience: ENGIE, as a global leader in the energy sector has
incredible view into multiple technologies, works with large energy buyers
and is at the tip of solving the energy challenges of today and tomorrow
Every day in this role the Commercial Strategy Advisor will support the
Utility Scale Renewable Development business in North America and contribute
to the global business planning process. Coordinate across teams within the
Renewables group to analyze commercial opportunities. Lead strategic projects
and provide insights based on market analysis and commercial assessments.
Collaborate with business development, legal, and project management teams
to ensure successful project outcomes.
Lead Commercial Strategy Projects:
You will be a critical member of the ENGIE Renewables North America (ERNA)
Commercial Strategy team which is part of ENGIE's Renewable Global Business
Unit (RGBU). Our role is to develop and implement commercial strategies
across North America to support our annual targets
Responsible for creating detailed scenario models to evaluate commercial
opportunities, provide strategic insights and enhance decision-making
processes
Conduct competitive analysis, and help ENGIE navigate complex business
challenges
Manage quarterly reporting on strategic initiatives to include 24/7 clean
energy products, Data Center product development
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and
objectives are achieved
Conduct Market Research and Analysis:
Proficiency in conducting market and industry research using a variety of data
sources and market intelligence tools. Analyze data and identify trends
Present findings to internal stakeholders on a recurring basis
Integrate internal and external research findings into comprehensive reports
and strategic recommendations
Scope and manage special projects that address key business needs or mitigate
risks
What You'll Bring
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree where you completed courses in finance,
accounting, business administration, economics or engineering or related
field of study
Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience with increasing levels
of responsibility, consulting experience or experience in or supporting the
energy industry at a developer, utility, bank, or investor
Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and
utilizing detailed, Excel-based models and PowerBi
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to design processes and execute programs within a cross-functional and
dynamic environment; project management experience is beneficial
Self-motivated, problem solving, strong leadership skills, attention to
detail, willingness and ability to learn
Additional Details
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $112,000 - $172,500 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry
knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
