Commercial Talent Development SpecialistPosition Overview
The Commercial Talent Development Specialist will play a crucial role in the development of our commercial associates. The CTD Specialist will assist in the coordination and facilitation of all aspects that support the onboarding journey of a newly hired or promoted associates within our commercial division.
The selected candidate must be comfortable presenting,facilitating, and managing some of the behind-the-scenes details that are needed to properly execute a training event. It is crucial that the selected candidate can partner with bothPatcraft& Shaw Contract brands to build strong relationships with key individuals. Some travel may berequired. Technical product knowledge is preferred, but notrequired.
This position willbe responsible formaintainmetrics, KPIs, and any other data points to prove relevance and impact of training events as well as providing support with purchasing items needed for training events andassistingin mailing out necessary training items for in the field training.
Responsibilities:
Participate,facilitateand co-facilitate in commercial training initiatives.
Assist in communication of planned events & ensure participation of desired audiences.
Help manage commercial talent development initiatives by maintaininga calendar of events and invitations.
Manage the onboarding phase of the commercial new hire experience, inclusive of scheduling and planning, coordinating materials, and imperative must-haves.
Establish strong relationships with both brands (Patcraft& Shaw Contract) to ensure alignment of training needs & content.
Proactively participatein after training reviews to enhance content for future use.
Expect to work in-office at the Create Centre ~3 days per week.
Assist in the onboarding process for Create Campus new hires & for the Commercial training programs.
Establishing a process for documenting training initiatives & determiningour ROI for each event.
Manage our team event calendars.
Responsible for developing a communication strategy to promote the team's impact on the commercial business.
P Card administration for commercial training functions.
Requirements:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Calendar & etc.
Presentation & facilitation skills
Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills will be key in this position. The selected individual must also want to grow within a team.
Abide by Standards of Ethical Conduct and Shaw Confidentiality agreements.
Must be able to work off shift as necessary and be able to travel domestically and abroad.
Must have a genuine and sincere interest in the betterment of other people.
0-2 years of training experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with brand teams, acting as a business partner to build trust and collaboration.
Develop, maintain, and analyze metrics, KPIs, and data points todemonstratethe impact of training events andestablishROI.
Manage the commercial talent development initiatives by maintaininga detailed calendar of events,participatingin post-training reviews, and developing a communication strategy.
3+ years of experience in sales/marketing talent development or a related field.
