Description:Zolman's Best One Tire & Service - Seeking a full-time Commercial Tire TechnicianLocally owned and operated, Zolman Tire, Inc. has serviced the automotive, light truck and commercial repair, tire, and wheel needs of customers throughout the Mishawaka, IN area since 1978. Over the years we have expanded into eight retail locations in Mishawaka, IN, Granger, IN, South Bend, IN, Niles, MI, Portage, MI, and Kalamazoo, MI and four commercial fleet locations in Mishawaka, IN, South Bend, IN, Galesburg, MI, and Benton Harbor, MI.We are seeking qualified commercial tire technicians for our Benton Harbor location who value safety and teamwork. Techs will be responsible for removing, installing, rotating, balancing, and performing flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location). Hours requirements are 8a-5p M-F, with willingness to work overtime as needed. If you are enthusiastic about the commercial tire and repair industry, reliable, and have a positive attitude please apply!We offer a full benefit package including; weekly pay, employee discounts, medical, dental, vision, 401K/Match, group life insurance, company paid short term disability and life insurance, paid holidays off, paid time off, free and confidential employee assistance program, paid training, employee uniforms, TIA training opportunities, company picnics/events, branded attire, opportunity for growth, and more!Essential Functions:--- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location), performed per TIA Commercial guidelines--- Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipment--- Inspect casings for defects--- Locate and seal tire punctures (patch and plug)--- Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding or sandblasting--- Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor--- Perform basic maintenance and repair--- Drive service truck to customer locations and for road service--- Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks--- Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to: safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks--- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to: all shop machinery, boom and hook--- Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks--- Perform general housekeeping duties--- Perform other duties as assignedZolman Tire, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected categoryIndustry specific and Covid-19 PPE are available to all floor and production staff.
