About the Job
Selectek is seeking newer Electrical Engineers for a Commissioning Engineer role on a contract-to-permanent basis. Our partnering company, located near Covington, Georgia, needs candidates with backgrounds in electrical equipment control schemes and one-line electrical diagramming.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Permanent
Expected Pay Range: $29.00-$32.25 hourly, depending on experience, before permanent conversion
Location: Covington, Georgia
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE OR BSEET)
- Some knowledge of commercial medium-voltage and low-voltage systems
- Willingness to learn commissioning role
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
- Interpret one-line electrical diagrams, including symbols, components, and flow of electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems
- Develop and manage electrical commissioning plans
- Load bank and PQM testing
- Manage live energization single-line diagrams
- Perform risk analysis for commissioning activities covering adjacent equipment and any upstream equipment that might be affected
- Write and run Method of Procedure (MOP) documents
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p with flexible start times possible once candidates complete the onboarding and start-up phase
