Job Summary:
We are seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our Commissioning Team with a primary focus on commissioning and energy efficiency sectors. This role is ideal for a lifelong learner who enjoys a collaborative environment and is looking to expand their career in commissioning, particularly within electrical and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Commissioning Agent with an emphasis on electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Perform commissioning activities including the creation of commissioning plans, design reviews, chairing commissioning kickoff meetings, and preparing job progress and final reports.
- Develop owner project requirements and perform pre-functional tests, observe equipment start-up, and prepare detailed reports.
- Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously and balance workloads to meet project schedules.
- Conduct calculations integral to design review and commissioning acceptance of systems.
- Perform selected QA/QC tasks on company-wide controls design projects.
- Ensure familiarity with and application of applicable codes.
- Supervise the project close-out process.
- Attend coordination meetings with clients/owners and contractors as needed.
- As experience is gained, expect to engage in business development, marketing, and project management duties, including identifying new opportunities synergistic with existing business.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Current commissioning certification through ACG or a similar organization is preferred.
- 2-5 years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, and/or testing, adjusting, and balancing.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction procurement and design development processes.
