COMMISSIONING SUPERINTENDENT

SUMMARY
The Commissioning Superintendentis responsible for overseeinggeneral safety, productivity, schedule, testing, and commissioning of utility level solar generation facilities.This position reports to theSenior Commissioning & Warranty Manager or another management personnel that the CEO may designate. This is ahybrid position, and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 100%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs solar commissioning personnel and/or subcontractors to achieve completion of the project
- Support the project team with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities
- Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy;
- Coordinate and implement resourcesand activities necessary to maintain safety and quality
- Create and maintain commissioning documentation in accordance with contract requirements
- Assure that all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
- Coordination with supplier testing & commissioning teams
- Identify testing required per project scope of work and ITP
- Communication with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements
- Regular attendance, in accordancewithcompany'sattendancepolicy and supervisoryassignment, is an essential jobdutyrequirementforthisposition
- Perform otherduties and specialprojects, asassignedby Management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience supporting the construction of major projects, preferably in the building of power stations or supply networks, or other utility-scale construction projects
- Solar PV, and/or BESS project commissioning experience
- Willingness to travel
- Experience with Procore or comparable project management tool
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience reviewing electrical drawings and manuals of installation and design technical packages
- Attention to detail
- Ability to professionally interact with clients and outside testing agencies/subcontractors
- Experience operating solar generation facility electrical equipment
- Experience with energization procedures and operations of substation equipment

- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office/equipment/trenches upper and lower
- Travel: up to 100% as needed
