The Communication and Engagement Lead plays a crucial role in fostering a strong sense of connection, commitment, and empowerment within the Enterprise Technology (ET) team.
This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal communication plans, analyzing employee feedback (e.g., from voice surveys), supporting leadership across strategic initiatives and designing and implementing programs to improve team dynamics and psychological safety.
The Communication and Engagement Lead also manages the planning and execution of key Enterprise Technology events, including Global Town Halls and business reviews. This is a highly collaborative role requiring excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
What you'll do...
+ Internal Communications Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy to ensure clear, consistent, and timely information flow across the ET team. This includes creating engaging content for various channels (e.g., email newsletters, intranet, presentations, videos) and adapting communication styles to different audiences
+ Employee Engagement & Feedback: Analyze data from employee voice surveys, plan and facilitate feedback sessions and other feedback mechanisms to identify trends, understand employee sentiment, and inform communication strategies and initiatives aimed at improving engagement and morale
+ Team Dynamics & Psychological Safety: Design and implement programs and initiatives to foster positive team dynamics, enhance psychological safety, and promote a culture of inclusivity and collaboration within ET. This may include workshops, training sessions, team-building activities, and other interventions
+ Event Planning & Management: Plan, organize, and execute a range of ET events, including Global Town Halls, business reviews, team meetings, and other gatherings. This includes managing logistics, coordinating speakers, creating agendas, and ensuring effective communication throughout the event lifecycle
+ Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the ET organization, including leadership, managers, and employees, to understand their needs and ensure alignment on communication and engagement initiatives
+ Measurement & Reporting: Track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication and engagement initiatives and report progress to leadership. This may include measuring employee satisfaction, engagement levels, and the impact of specific programs
+ Content Creation: Develop high-quality, engaging content for internal communications, including writing, editing, and designing materials for various platforms
+ Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with other members of the communication and engagement team, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
+ Budget Management: May be responsible for managing a budget for communication and engagement activities
You'll have ...
+ Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in large IT organizations or enterprise communications teams
+ 3 + years of experience leading and mentoring teams with 5+ members. Leadership skills will include:
+ Ability to lead and form teams, develop team members
+ Ability to influence diverse individuals to focus on results and act as a team
+ Ability to apply agile principles and manage change
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and in writing), confidence to present to various participants at all leadership levels
+ Excellent leadership, communication, consulting, negotiation and interpersonal skills
+ Excellent Project Management and Planning Skills to ensure strategic projects are completed on time with highest quality.
+ Capability to cultivate and maintain close professional relationships
+ Ability to structure and visualize complex problems

+ Master’s Degree
+ 5 + years of experience leading enterprise communications teams
+ Fundamental understanding of Ford’s global ET organization, technical domains and job families.
