Role Overview:
As Communications and Events Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of elevating LegalOn’s brand awareness and trust throughout the legal industry. In this role, you’ll lead strategic communications initiatives and high-impact events, crafting compelling narratives and experiences that resonate with legal professionals in the US, UK, and beyond. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping and amplifying our brand story, ensuring that every touchpoint underscores our value and builds lasting connections within the legal community.
We’re seeking a seasoned, motivated communications leader with a passion for technology and a solid grasp of the legal industry. You’re a creative and strategic communicator, comfortable wearing many hats—from public relations and social media to webinars and events designed to drive lead generation. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally within the organization to ensure message consistency across channels and to report on results across various media and platforms.
Responsibilities:
You’ll lead the overall strategy and day-to-day for all communications and events, including public relations, thought leadership, webinars, conferences, and industry forums:
Communications
- Proactively engage with business, technology, and trade press through diverse media tactics to secure impactful coverage and establish thought leadership.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to enhance LegalOn’s industry presence and credibility.
- Create compelling press releases, bylined articles, and other collateral to effectively communicate our company's value proposition, product updates, and industry insights.
- Partner with our internal research and data teams to seek and create opportunities to share data-driven stories that earn attention all on their own.
- Lead the strategy, calendar, and execution of thought leadership initiatives, including articles, executive and company social media, interviews, and other high-visibility content.
- Implement strategies and submit for award submission opportunities that highlight our technology and solutions.
- Manage all social media activity, including content creation and execution.
Events
- Organize and manage high-impact events, such as webinars, conferences, and industry forums, to showcase LegalOn’s expertise and engage with the legal community.
- Manage the execution including booth design & messaging, speaking deliverables, and coordination with sales.
- Develop metrics to assess event effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or events management, ideally within B2B technology or the legal sector.
- Proven success in campaign execution that drives media attention and coverage across diverse outlets.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling narratives tailored for various audiences and channels.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in event management and building brand equity through impactful, high-quality events.
- Outstanding project management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strategic and results-oriented mindset, capable of prioritizing and driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred:
- Experience as a lawyer or working in the legal industry
- Experience working in a global or cross-cultural environment, and proficiency in additional languages (such as Spanish, German, or Japanese) is a plus.
