Federal Reserve Bank of ChicagoThe Business Operations Manager manages a team of individuals who execute the business and operational strategies of the department by interacting with internal stakeholders across all divisions. Individuals on the team also provide leadership and support for key System initiatives.
The Business Operations Manager participates in special projects or process improvement initiatives at the team, division or department level. The Business Manager develops, coaches and leads staff. The level of work is considered advanced and the individual must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position has direct reports.

Your Responsibilities:
Manages communication efforts related to SnRG (S&R SharePoint sites), department meetings, as well as external and executive communications
Oversees the department’s annual strategic planning process, including division business planning and business continuity efforts
Provides direction and oversees planning and executing of major departments events, including town halls, leadership meetings, and the annual all staff conference.
Works on complex issues in which analysis of situations and data requires an evaluation of various factors
Evaluates team skills and assists with building team skill sets to meet business needs
Reviews internal processes to ensure effective team function
Reviews industry trends in relevant technical or professional knowledge areas and determines applicability to the team functions
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with staff & management at the Reserve Bank, Board of Governors, and supervised firms
Conducts performance development discussions and activities
Your Background:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Advanced degree preferred
Five plus years of direct work related experience
Strong team management:
Demonstrates the ability to assess talent and create accountability within immediate team
Demonstrates the ability to a lead team and create productive team dynamics and leverages strengths of staff within team and division
Demonstrates business judgment and decision making to make decisions in the best interest of the team
Strong understanding of supervisory practices and an appetite to deepen your knowledge within the supervisory function
Strong communication:
Demonstrates the ability to solicit broad input to promote diversity of thought in coming to conclusions
Possesses the ability to understand the stakeholder’s line of business
Possesses the ability to execute and communicate strategy by leveraging business knowledge
Demonstrates advanced decision making and problem solving skills
Possesses a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically SharePoint Online and PowerPoint)

This is hybrid position. Successful candidates must live in the Chicagoland area (or be willing to relocate)

This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
