Harbor House of Central Florida is seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to lead the development and execution of communication and marketing strategies. This role is key to raising awareness about domestic violence, driving community education efforts, and supporting our programs, training initiatives, and special events.
The Communications and Marketing Manager will design and implement strategies that promote public education on domestic violence and the services offered by Harbor House. You will create and lead marketing campaigns that engage the community, support survivors, and highlight the organization's mission. Additionally, you will take charge of community education and training programs, developing and delivering presentations and materials for various audiences, including first responders, schools, businesses, and community groups.
In this role, you will work closely with leadership to produce effective presentations, educational resources, and content for training programs that promote domestic violence awareness. You will also manage Harbor House's digital and print communications, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across social media platforms, email newsletters, and promotional materials. Your role will involve representing the organization at community events and training sessions, acting as a key advocate for domestic violence prevention and education.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with at least four years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, particularly with a focus on community education and advocacy. Experience leading training sessions and delivering presentations to diverse audiences is essential, as is the ability to create engaging and educational content tailored to different groups. Strong public speaking, organizational, and time management skills are important for success in this role. While a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, equivalent experience will also be considered. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and should be comfortable with digital marketing tools. CORE certification training, provided by Harbor House, will be required to work directly with survivors.
