Summary Description:
We are seeking a talented and dynamic Communications Specialist/Audience Researcher to support our marketing communications team. The Communications Specialist/Audience Researcher will play a critical role in conducting audience research, analyzing data, and developing targeted communication strategies. This position requires a keen understanding of marketing research, data analysis, and communication tactics to effectively engage diverse audiences in substance use prevention and mental health initiatives. The ideal candidate should be skilled in audience segmentation, communication planning, and leveraging data insights to inform marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing communications, with a focus on audience research and data analysis.
- Proven experience in conducting audience research, segmentation, and developing targeted communication strategies.
- Experience working with federal agencies or organizations specializing in substance use and mental health field, preferred
- Familiarity with substance use prevention and mental health topics is preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Conduct thorough audience research, including surveys, focus groups, and data analysis, to understand audience preferences, needs, and behaviors.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies to tailor communication messages and materials for specific target groups.
- Collaborate with content creators and designers to develop impactful communication materials based on audience insights.
- Work closely with the marketing communications team to create and implement communication plans that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of communication campaigns, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Utilize social media analytics, website metrics, and other data sources to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
