ABOUT THE MOBILE RESPONSE TEAM (MRT)
Seneca's MRT program provides proactive early intervention before crises escalate to divert youth from more restrictive interventions. Our team consists of mental health professionals dedicated to same-day crisis intervention for youth facing immediate crises and ensures that families receive coordinated care and access to long-term services. The Mobile Response Team's overarching goal is to prevent suicide, minimize unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, decrease police involvement, and reduce the criminalization of mental health. This program specifically caters to low-income and at-risk community members, offering assistance to youth with Medi-Cal or no insurance. These crisis intervention services are provided in homes, schools, and various community locations. You will respond to each crisis as a team, never going out alone, while collaborating with fellow community partners that work to serve our youth.
