DAILY: Monday - Friday (the program is open 6:00 am-6:00 pm)

SALARY RANGE: Classified, Level I 

STATUS: Non-Exempt/At Will

OVERVIEW

This position involves a broad range of responsibilities within the general areas of assisting the preschool classroom teacher for the betterment of the Desert Oasis/Nadaburg Elementary School and providing support for the Nadaburg Unified School District and NUSD Governing Board.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED. Early childhood experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS

To assist the teacher and administration in achieving the objectives of the specified program by working with individual or small groups of students.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Assists in carrying out day-to-day activities in the preschool & Before/After Care, which may include distributing food, monitoring activities, enforcing class behavior rules, preparing snacks, assisting with art projects, supervising bathroom breaks, preparing supplies, ensuring the safety of students, assist in coordinating and administering activities, respond to requests for information and provide assistance to parents and participants, perform other duties as requested.
