About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Specialist to be an important part of our team. The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective strategies to increase awareness and interest in our fiber internet services through a variety of community outreach and networking opportunities. They are responsible for securing participation through community cultivation, lead generation and follow-up in assigned geographical areas.

Responsibilities

• Understand Cityside Fiber’s core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
• Educate potential customers on Cityside Fiber products and services; advantages vs. Local competitors.
• Acquire new residential customers from assigned leads & territory based on door-to-door solicitation, outbound calling campaigns, lead follow-up, grass-root marketing events, etc.
• Develop and execute local community events or sponsorships to increase awareness and interest in our brand and fiber internet services.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including local business organizations, community groups, and influencers.
• 25-30% Outside sales informational activities (door to door canvassing) and secure new subscribers.
• Track and report engagement activities, including lead generation, customer engagement, and pipeline progress.
• Engage with individual customers and neighborhood leaders to prepare for construction and drive sign-ups.
• Partner with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns, including lead generation and account-based marketing.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure that leads are being effectively followed up and converted into subscribers.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service experience
• Ability to initiate conversations and build relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Desire to learn more about residential internet services, fiber internet market and technology trends
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or business preferred
• Valid state driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• This role requires up to 90% vehicle travel within the assigned territory. Travel will be primarily within the local footprint as needed to canvass assigned territory during sales activities

Location

Our Headquarters and field offices are located in Irvine. [May be required to travel to project/customer sites to fulfill job responsibilities.]

Compensation

$45k-$50k annually + unlimited commission (potential $3k+ monthly commission)
