A growing newspaper group in Havana, Florida is seeking a talented and experienced Editor to oversee the content of several weekly newspapers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for journalism, a strong understanding of local news, and excellent writing and editing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assign, write, edit, and proofread news articles, features, and columns
• Manage editorial calendars and deadlines
• Oversee the production of newspapers from start to finish
• Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and designers
• Build and maintain relationships with community members and local businesses

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in journalism, preferably in a newsroom setting
• Strong knowledge of AP style and grammar
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with newspaper production software (e.g., In Design, Photoshop) is a plus
