Abuse in Later Life (ALL) Project Director - Monday through Friday - 8:30 to 4:30 with occasional evenings and weekends for a total of 35 hours per week. Based in Riverhead, NY - hybrid schedule with travel to Hauppauge and/or East Hampton, NY offices as needed.
Responsible for directing, teaching and implementing The Retreat's Abuse in Later Life (ALL) OVW Program. Work directly with all subgrantees/committed partners and cross-trainee organizations (including those that have signed Letters of Commitment to receive training) regarding training schedules. Perform program planning, coordination, operation and service delivery across Suffolk County.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Perform program planning, coordination, operation and service delivery across Suffolk County.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and will serve as the central point of contact for all program activities.
• Attend OVW required trainings which often require multiple days of travel, including but not limited to the New Grantee Orientation, and the Direct Service TOT Training.
• Coordinate required OVW training information with all subgrantees on the project.
• Ensure consistent relationship with the subgrantees and adherence to grant guidelines.
• Lead the initial Needs Assessment and development of a Strategic Plan among the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) members.
• Spearhead the initial planning activities in the first 12-18 months of award (securing OVW approval to move into the implementation phase.
• Facilitate CCR meetings in accordance with project deliverables and program implementation.
• Participate in trainings, management, and all staff meetings.
• Maintain records of all activities completed.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual outcome reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of a Master's degree with 3-5 years of education and/or community outreach experience preferred. Social work or public health background a plus.
• Must be able to carry and set up tables and boxes of materials for special events.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfort and ability to provide education through group workshops and one-on one meetings.
• Comfort working with community partners and addressing topics of Elder Abuse and Care.
• Ability to maintain a trauma-informed and caring approach to connecting with Coordinated Community Response participants.
• Understanding of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and/or stalking; with willingness to continue building knowledge in the field.
• Ability to utilize social media for outreach and communication purposes.
• Ability to work nights periodically and weekends, as needed.
