JOB TITLE: Community Relationship Coordinator
REPORTS TO: CEO
MISSION STATEMENT: Liberty Ministries exists to serve offenders in prison and ex-offenders in the community by showing God's love, providing practical assistance and supporting biblical standards of justice.
JOB SUMMARY: The Community Relationship Coordinator is responsible for engaging existing and building new donor relationships. The Community Relationship Coordinator will align development efforts with Liberty Ministries' overall goals as set forth by the CEO.
PRINCIPLE JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Engage with vendors, churches, and other members in the community to create and strengthen partnerships
- Effectively communicate our mission and vision to partners in order to solicit donations.
- Ensure development activities are aligned with the overall goals for Liberty Ministries, as set forth by the CEO.
- Assist in event planning and fundraising efforts.
- Research potential sources of, and apply for, grants and public funding
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a mature, stable person who can consistently model the Christian life to our Residents, staff and volunteers.
- Have a good reputation in the community so as not to bring reproach upon the ministry.
- Must have an understanding of the issues that men and women struggling with incarceration and addiction face. Should feel a call of God to work with this population.
- Must have administrative, creative and leadership abilities, with an attention to detail and organization.
- Must have excellent communication skills in order to work with vendors and donors in a professional manner.
- Have a keen interest in prison ministry, preferably with experience and/or education in corrections and non-profit management.
- Be able to function well under stress, think quickly and fairly, and make sound judgments based upon facts.
- Have the ability to work with people with a variety of religious backgrounds and educational levels.
- Be in good physical health with emotional maturity and stability. Display a good sense of humor. Be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
- Possess a working knowledge of computers, peripherals, office technology (fax, scanner, copier, printer), Microsoft Professional Suite, Donor Perfect, and other supportive software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Some development experience is preferred.
EMPLOYMENT:
Full-Time, Hourly, with benefits.
COMPENSATION:
$10/hour
