SUMMARY: The Community Service Representative will provide superior customer service when working for specified organizations on behalf of the community. The Community Service Representative may be dispatched to multiple organizations. As a representative of California Aeronautical University, student staff are expected to be courteous, competent and professional at all times.
The Community Service Representative must uphold the philosophy and mission of the University while instilling positive and progressive attitude in all employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to the following:
COMPLIANCE:
- Responsible for compliance with all local, state, accreditation and federal regulations
- Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support various Homeless Services activities, including serving in the kitchen, distribution center, and boutique
- Conduct all duties and responsibilities ethically and professionally
- Utilize organizational skills to help stock inventory, maintain regular sanitation checks, and ensure all cooking utensils, tools, and equipment are in the proper location.
- Works in all areas of the dining center.
- Works independently and with other staff.
- Follows written and verbal instructions.
- Safely operate and maintain all following equipment used in food production and service.
- Clean up and reset station and take care of leftover food.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Follow safety and security rules
- Follow anti-discrimination policy
- Ensure that confidential information is respected and treated appropriately
- Respect the rights and dignity of clients and fellow workers and work as a team member
- Attend designated orientation and training programs
- Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with all types of people. Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, set and meet deadlines and manage unexpected situations. Strong technology skills necessary.
TRAVEL DEMANDS:
Travel to various conferences and/or trainings may require overnight stays, and the number of nights is dictated by company and/or by the schedule of events. The employee must have the ability to travel to various locations as necessary. Must have vehicle suitable to safe and secure transportation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business communications, financial reports, legal documents, and some government reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to students, top management and/or public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to converse and listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
