Under the general direction of the Community Resource Center (CRC) Leadership team, the Fitness Coach will lead a variety of fitness classes, such as Zumba, Yoga, and meditation for IEHP Members and surrounding community to participate in. The Community Resource Center (CRC) Fitness Coach will also provide one-on-one training for Community Resource Center participants regarding one-on-one support of movements and forms, regimens, and fitness and performance goals and will include coordinating group activities onsite.The Community Resource Center (CRC) Fitness Coach will be responsible to report any required maintenance or repairs to CRC leadership while adhering to safety policies and if needed, will provide certified CPR/First Aid.
1. Development and delivery of fitness programs for groups at the Community Resource Centers.
2. Lead scheduled fitness classes, beginning and ending on time, providing adequate warm-up and cool-down for participants.
3. Provide a safe and fun environment for participants and assist in reaching and maintaining fitness goals.
4. Provide customer service to Community Resource Center (CRC) participants at assigned CRC.
5. Prepare adequate and appropriate music, equipment, and other materials, as needed for each class and assist participants with answering questions and maintaining a positive exercise experience for class participants.
6. Demonstrate and/or explain how to perform various exercises and routines to improve fitness and minimize injuries.
7. Motivate Community Resource Center (CRC) participants to participate in center activities and to complete exercise sessions.
8. Provide alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill.
9. Monitor the progress of CRC participants in the group activities and adapt programs as needed.
10. Assist with Community Resource Center (CRC) special events related to health and fitness at assigned CRC.
11. Observe Community Resource Center (CRC) performing exercises during classes to ensure they are using correct techniques, while educating on correct techniques, if necessary.
12. Assure the safety of all Community Resource Center (CRC) participants during individual training sessions and/or group activity sessions while in the CRCs.
13. Collaborate with Community Resource Center (CRC) staff in supporting organizational objectives by promoting good health and continuity of care and addressing any care gaps.
14. Explain and enforce safety rules in the Community Resource Center (CRC).
15. Maintain and control group fitness equipment, rooms, and storage areas.
16. Maintain and enforce all IEHP Community Resource Center (CRC) campus recreation policies and procedures.
17. Keep management informed of customer and facility needs and ensure safety and security standards are met and department and facility policies are adhered to.
18. Provide certified Emergency First Aid, if needed.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Instructor license required.
- Current certification in CPR required.
- Current and active fitness certification required.
- Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE, AFAA) preferred.
Key Qualifications
- Knowledge of:
- Techniques and dynamics of group fitness.
- Exercise principles, operation and maintenance of fitness equipment and facilities..
- Group teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm.
- The Team Member in this role must take an English language proficiency assessment and must receive a passing score.
- Applicable to Bilingual job code only - A Bilingual (English/IEHP Threshold Language) position. The Team Member in this role must take a language proficiency assessment and must receive a passing score.
