About the Job
This newly created position on the corporate communication team is responsible for community engagement and employee experience. The selected candidate is exceptionally passionate about people. You are a proactive strategic thinker, a leader, an innovator and someone who can balance multiple projects at once. You have a keen eye for the details, are creative, have a positive attitude, enjoy a fast-paced environment, are polished, professional and above all, a team player. You will lead community engagement and workplace experience at a rapidly growing medical technology company dedicated to making a positive impact for patients, for employees, and for the communities it serves.
Responsibilities:
• Community Engagement:
o Develop and execute Abiomed's community engagement and corporate charitable strategy in the United States
o Manage budget and align community engagement and charitable support to achieve Abiomed's mission and goals
o Build Abiomed's name recognition and reputation among prospective employees and members of the community
o Identify and make recommendations for employee and corporate participation in regional volunteer events, activities, and sponsorships
o Coordinate the Abiomed Grant Committee's review of corporate sponsorship and charitable opportunities
o Provide regular reporting and analytics on community engagement activities
o Produce and host onsite events for community partners
• Workplace Experience:
o Create inspiring, efficient and effective workplace environments that foster productivity and create high employee satisfaction levels
o Develop and execute plans for workplace design projects that are on budget, on schedule and meet Abiomed's strategic goals and objectives
o Maintain a cohesive and exemplary look and feel for Abiomed facilities in the United States, including finishes, workstations and overall experience
o Design, monitor and analyze workplace experience metrics from employee surveys and other sources
o Make recommendations to continuously improve the employee experience
o Propose, plan and manage initiatives to keep onsite and remote Abiomed employees connected and engaged
• Events:
o As member of the events team, provide onsite and preparatory support to team members as needed.Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 6 years of experience building community partnerships
• 3 years of experience workplace experience, space planning, and/or design experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• An orientation toward achieving results and the ability to set dynamic, compelling goals
• A passion for company culture and creating a best-in-class employee experience
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with strong ability to lead internal and external resources
• Effective written and spoken communication skills
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
