We’re looking for a Compensation Analyst to help lead our efforts, they will be responsible for supporting the administration and assessment of Holland America’s compensation programs. The Compensations Analyst will contribute to compensation and analytical activities including the design, development, modeling and costing of base pay programs, incentive programs and international pay programs.

Responsibilities
- Carries out analytical assignments involving the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs.
- Responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and classification of new and existing positions, utilizing external/internal market data to help make appropriate recommendations as required.
- Conduct Human Resource predictive analytics, data analysis and interpretation of trends to support proactive planning.
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in Human Resources metrics and analytics practices; proactively suggest applicable metrics to measure impact of HR organization.
- Acts as a key contributor to the annual performance and merit review process. Responsible for system administration, data integrity, and responding to users inquires and reporting requests.
- Support global benchmarking process by participating in and analyzing industry survey data to determine competitiveness of the total compensation programs. This may require data mining for hard to benchmark jobs followed by data collection, analysis and feedback on results.
- Responsible for the documentation and administration of incentive compensation programs and related payments.
- Assists in the research and development of special studies and recommendations on salary administration and other topical HR issues and initiatives.
- Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
- Maintain credentials and membership with professional associations to keep abreast of trends within the market regarding compensation issues and legislative or regulatory trends.
Requirements
- Two plus years’ experience in an analytical position (i.e. compensation professional, financial analyst, etc.)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a position-related field required.
- Professional certification in specialty area or course work through the World at Work professional association is preferred.
- Compensation knowledge required including state and federal Wage and Hour laws.
- Experience with international compensation is a plus.
- The ability to understand management principles sufficiently to soundly advise line management in compensation matters.
- Well organized, detail-oriented and confident to work independently while preforming as a strong team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS databases with the ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems.
