Job Responsibilities:
Compensation Data Management Specialist, HR
- Serves as the subject matter expert related to HR data transactions for 18,000+ district personnel across 90+ campuses: Professional, Paraprofessional, and Hourly, as well as Temporary and Substitutes.
- HR data entry; new hires, transfers, promotions, reclassifications, position changes, annual salary increases, leave of absence, terminations, and retirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate data entry for personnel changes.
- Calculate pay based on contract term and position to be provided to payroll and benefits.
- Audit HR personnel changes per pay period prior to payroll being finalized.
- Ensure personnel paperwork is completed and submitted to payroll in a timely manner.
- Determine Teacher Retirement System (TRS) status, PEIMS reporting to Texas Education Agency (TEA), and Employee Benefit deductions are accurate per eligibility.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance and confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Competency on CFISD proficiency test.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics:
- Work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions.
- Able to identify problems and systematically gather relevant information to ensure data integrity to mitigate erroneous pay to personnel.
- Excellent time management and detail oriented.
- Excellent customer service to assist personnel and administration with inquiries.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with all levels across the district.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong basic math skills for computation of pay rates.
- Proficient in Excel, Google Docs, and Adobe Pro DC.
Preferences:
- 1-2 years working in a public school district.
- Knowledge of efinance Plus Financial software.
- Working knowledge of HR transactions and employment processes.
- Competency on CFISD proficiency test, score of 85 or above preferred.
- Intermediate accounting experience.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
250 Days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$42,078 - CP7
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees
