Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Compensation Senior Consultant to join our team on a temporary 1099 project basis. In this critical role, you will evaluate and enhance our compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves close collaboration with HR, management, and key stakeholders to support compensation initiatives, conduct market analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of current compensation structures, including salary bands, bonus structures, and benefits, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company goals.
- Market Benchmarking: Utilize compensation surveys and tools to perform salary benchmarking and maintain market competitiveness.
- Job Evaluation: Evaluate and classify roles based on internal and external standards.
- Pay Equity Reviews: Analyze pay equity across the organization to ensure fairness and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Develop Strategic Recommendations: Provide informed recommendations for adjustments to compensation plans, salary structures, and incentive programs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, finance, and department managers to ensure compensation programs align with budgetary and strategic objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Project Support: Assist in implementing compensation-related projects, such as salary audits, job evaluations, and benefit program updates.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or consulting.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation methods, and salary benchmarking techniques.
- Proficiency in compensation software and survey tools.
- Solid knowledge of labor laws, pay equity regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRIS platforms.
- Certification: CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Previous consulting experience in a corporate setting.
- Additional Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
