Compensation and Time Management Specialist

The HRIS Compensation and Time Management Specialist oversees the compensation and time management functions of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for certified and non-certified instructional staff within the Greenwich Public Schools.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, human resources, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience with HRIS systems in time management and pay processing.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficient in HRIS time and attendance functions and labor laws related to payroll.
• Strong analytical skills for custom reporting in HRIS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and computer software, including HRIS.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Input, update, and terminate staff information in HRIS accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management protocols.
• Monitor leave accruals and resolve discrepancies.
• Document leaves of absence, including FMLA, and notify staff about position-related information.
• Review payroll information for accuracy and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Create training materials for HRIS use and assist with Teachers’ Retirement Board functions.
• Maintain confidentiality and support Town and Board of Education policies.
