The Compliance Analyst is responsible for maintaining producer red flag guidelines and revising these guidelines in partnership with Licensing and Distribution when necessary. They will evaluate and decision Compliance escalated producer appointment requests, documenting their review and regularly preparing reports to Management on volumes and emerging trends. They will work closely with the Licensing team to ensure that all current and proposed producer related processes comply with regulatory requirements and Company guidelines. The Compliance Analyst will also support the LGA Compliance team with regulatory filings, training and L&G Group related deliverables as assigned.
Responsibilities
Producer Compliance Review
- Producer Appointment Review –
- Utilize expertise in industry standards and practices to uphold proper producer contracting guidelines for the company. Recommend adjustments when necessary.
- Evaluate escalated producers, determine and communicate the final decision to Licensing.
- Analyze escalated producer data and create pertinent dashboards and reports for management distribution.
- Present trend analysis, insights and recommendations to relevant Company working groups.
- Maintain detailed log of all Compliance escalated producer appointment reviews.
- Producer Audits –
- Develop audit program to ensure producers appointed with the Company adhere to regulatory requirements and Company policies.
- Conduct routine producer audits by gathering evidence and analyzing data to form sound conclusions.
- Present audit results and recommendations to management and relevant Company working groups.
- Process Improvement –
- Perform reviews of the Company’s producer contracting procedures to confirm they adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical advice to internal teams regarding compliant contracting processes.
- Collaborate with cross functional business areas during the design and implementation of changes (whether resulting from internal or external drivers) to ensure regulatory requirements are properly incorporated into business processes.
- Producer Disciplinary Review -
- Prepare responses to producer related regulatory inquiries and requests.
- Serve as secretary of the Agent Disciplinary Committee meetings; responsible for arranging meetings, preparing agendas and materials, taking minutes and tracking action items.
Compliance Training – Support the AVP, Risk and Compliance with the selection of company-wide Compliance training. Oversee and monitor the completion of company-wide training and provide reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
Regulatory Engagement and Reporting - Prepare regulatory filings and examinations as assigned.
Management Information / Reporting – Prepare compliance reporting and presentations, including those required by L&G Group Conduct Risk, as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, finance or equivalent education and experience
- Compliance and / or Life Insurance Certifications are a plus
Experience/Knowledge
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within insurance or financial services industry compliance, audit, risk management required; 5+ years is preferred.

- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.
- Critical thinker with formidable problem-solving, analytical and statistical skills.
- Highly collaborative with experience working in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical audiences, presenting data driven insights.
- Ability to develop and deliver reports, documentation, procedures and correspondence that is concise, logical, and grammatically correct.
- Ability to perform complex analysis using Excel’s advanced features, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and others.
- Ability to think strategically, identify key issues, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and provide practical guidance on the implementation of effective, compliant, operational policies, processes and procedures.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work independently, establish and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
What’s in it for you?
The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $92,050 annually. This role will be hybrid with 3 days per week in office.
The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
