Responsibilities & Qualifications:Summary of Experience
Manage work for the assigned states/jurisdictions as designated by Supervisor. Ensure all required data is reported to States and other entities accurately and within jurisdictional periods. Analyze policy and other claims documentation, entering claim and/or payment data in applicable systems. Manage diary timely for reporting or other claim activities. Review state reports for accuracy and compliance. Provide technical direction to claim representatives. Adhere to all state and federal requirements to avoid penalty assessments. Correct errors on a timely basis. Participate in the investigation of and resolution of any inquiries, fines, or penalties. Serve as a point of contact to facilitate resolution of any EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) issues. Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department audit guidelines.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- 2 years of experience adjusting claims or claims support 3 years of data entry experience
- Knowledge of Medicare compliance and/or state reporting requirements
- Knowledge of medical, legal and insurance terminology
- Detail oriented, analytic, and organized
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Written, verbal communication and mathematical skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Preferred Education and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Related industry experience
