Description/Comment:
The Operational Excellence and FERC Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing the client's Human Performance and Operating Experience (Client&OE) Program as well as client's Internal Controls Program. The department also ensures that the client maintains compliance with client's governing documents and other FERC filed rules and regulations as well as applicable business practices developed by the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB).

Description/Comment:
The Operational Excellence and FERC Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing the client's Human Performance and Operating Experience (Client&OE) Program as well as client's Internal Controls Program. The department also ensures that the client maintains compliance with client's governing documents and other FERC filed rules and regulations as well as applicable business practices developed by the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB).
- The Compliance Analyst is responsible for coordinating and supporting activities to ensure client's continually adheres to all requirements in its governing documents and that its business processes reflect this adherence.
- The Analyst will also support the Human Performance and Operating Experience program goals to prevent and reduce the frequency of human errors, promote behaviors throughout the organization to support reliable operations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of events.
- This individual will also perform as a project coordinator and/or scrum master for small to medium size enterprise initiatives.
General Functions:
- The employee must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, determine possible solutions and draw valid conclusions.
- Support and lead event analysis and process improvements for the Human Performance and Operating Experience Program and Controls Program
- Support the Quality Assurance Process and Quality Assurance Committee meetings in preparation and review to ensure client adheres to all requirements in its governing documents and that its business processes reflect this adherence.
- Support and lead program initiatives for communication plans, metrics, and status reporting.
- Support administration and management of department tools including DevonWay (event analysis and action items tracking) and the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool
- Support department training including Controls Training, Human Performance Tool Training, TapRooT Training, and DevonWay Training
- BS degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of experience Regulatory and Compliance Project coordination/SCRUM Master Process Improvement Process Documentation Quality Assurance
- Experience in event analysis
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
- At least 4 years of experience Electric Utility Industry Human Performance and Event Analysis Internal Controls
- Experience and training with TapRooT methodology
- At least 4 years of experience with Operations, Markets, Planning, and ITS functions
- Experience with internal systems, business process, and tools
- Experience with regulatory and governing documents
- Experience with developing and/or documenting controls
- Experience supporting stakeholder Committees
- Experience with operations, markets, and planning functions
