About the Role: We are looking for a Compliance Audit Associate to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Compliance team and the Business to conduct operational audits focused on implemented compliance risk mitigation procedures and support business partner audits.
This position will be located at one of our facilities in Phoenix, Tempe, or Flagstaff, Arizona (with Phoenix being preferred), with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in outlining and building infrastructure for audits to include audit procedures and supporting templates
- Conduct audits for Gore Medical and its relevant business partners (third parties)
- Communicate regularly with process owners and stakeholders in the area/activity being examined to ensure an inclusive audit process from start to finish
- Conduct audits for identified scopes in accordance with professional audit standards and Gore Medical Compliance Audit Program to identify any control weakness, non-compliance instances and opportunities for process improvement in the business and operation of Gore Medical and/or relevant business partners
- Conduct detailed audit procedures to include, but not limited to, performing interviews, on-site walkthroughs, data analysis, test of controls and other substantive transaction testing, preparing data and document requests, etc.
- Document the testing result and f inalize and archive engagement work papers and all other supporting documentation in the audit management system
- Develop practical audit recommendations to solve or mitigate risks and issues identified during audits and prepare written reports and presentation deck for audit findings
- Communicate audit results, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders and leadership, so they are persuasive, placed in the appropriate context, and understood by the appropriate audience; gain consensus and create inclusive environment for all stakeholders
- Monitor follow-up expectations and remediation efforts to ensure reported audit issues are addressed by process owners and stakeholders in a timely manner and perform all required follow-up audit and tracking procedures
- Train and manage external audit/language resources, when needed, to support audits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related business field
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in internal or external auditing, compliance auditing or monitoring, or other relevant experience
- Big 4 experience, CPA (certified public accountant), CIA (certified internal auditor) and/or other equivalent qualification(s)
- Highly motivated, self-starter, independent contributor
- Solid knowledge and expertise with COSO, internal controls, internal or external auditing standards, third party auditing, and risk-based auditing
- Organized and detail oriented, with a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to apply good judgment to evaluate transactions where defined policies, procedures, and controls may not yet exist
- Ability to manage projects, communicate effectively to a diverse audience at multiple levels within the company / business partners, and collaborate across functions and regions
- Ability and willingness to adjust schedule for meetings across various time zones and travel up to 15%
