Compliance Manager
Omnia Healthcare Group is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team! The Compliance Manager will assist the Chief Legal Officer to provide day-to-day management of compliance activities to ensure ongoing corporate compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, laws, and standards.
Compliance Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the development and administration of the organization’s compliance program
- Collaborating with the Learning and Development department to ensure that all staff receive compliance training annually and as needed
- Providing guidance and support to facility Compliance Ambassadors and Committees
- Overseeing the completion of a Risk Assessment by each facility and assisting in the development of a Work Plan to mitigate the identified risks; and, following up on the status and effectiveness of the Work Plans
- Supporting the development of new or updated policies, procedures, or processes to address new risk areas or to improve operations and/or internal controls
- Promoting the reporting of compliance concerns and ensuring appropriate and timely follow up
- Monitoring audit results to determine if action steps need to be taken
- Keeping abreast of new legislation and enforcement matters affecting Omnia and it’s facilities as well as industry and compliance best practices
Compliance ManagerQualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in work processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Good grasp of industry processes and existing business regulations
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Ability to solve problems when they arise
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Compliance Manager Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field preferred
- Three years of experience in a healthcare leadership role desired; at least 1-2 years’ experience in healthcare compliance preferred
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of regulations and OIG guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, withthe ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- High ethical standards and integrity.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have ability to sit, stand, stoop and reach, and to use hands to manipulate the computer, writing, calculator, or other instruments to carry out responsibilities of the position, with or without accommodation.
