Job Description – Compliance Officer
The role of the Compliance Officer is to develop, administer and monitor the Bank’s programs for compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings. The Compliance Officer will inform and educate appropriate personnel, senior management and the Board of Directors of all compliance responsibilities. The Compliance Officer will administer compliance related training for the bank’s employees. The Compliance Officer is responsible for communicating with the Bank’s independent compliance audit firm and regulatory examination personnel.
Job Summary/Essential Functions
- Compliance Program administration.
- Maintain the Bank’s compliance library, utilizing current technology capabilities.
- Serve as in-house expert to provide compliance advice and guidance to all Bank staff.
- Work with management in developing new products and/or modifying existing ones
- Review and update policies and procedures under the guidance and supervision of senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate annual compliance audit
- Work with management to correct deficiencies and/or improve operational efficiencies
- Review advertisements and new products for compliance
- Act as the Bank’s BSA Officer and administer BSA Policy and program.
- Act as Bank’s CRA officer.
- Perform compliance testing in all operations of the Bank.
- Review compliance activities, issues and regulatory changes with the Bank’s Board of Directors on a regular basis.
- Oversee and administer all training of employees and directors.
- Other duties as assigned
