SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Component Lead for a large distribution center located in Allen, TX The Component Lead will be ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves a combination of leadership, technical knowledge, and management skills. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities: The successful applicant will maintain display high levels of professionalism, lead and develop a team of warehouse associates, and maintain constant communication with warehouse leadership at all times. The Warehouse Lead will be required to meet key performance metrics as well as manage team to hit KPIs. This person will work together with other departments and management to maximize productivity in the facility, ensure associates receive proper training and mentorship, and manage hiring/scheduling to ensure that team is properly staffed at all times. - Supervise and lead a team of workers on the production floor, ensuring that they perform their tasks effectively.
- Assign tasks based on individual skills and production needs to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Motivate team members, provide guidance, and offer support to help them overcome challenges and meet production goals.
- Monitor and manage the flow of work, ensuring that production schedules are met and that processes are executed efficiently.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to established procedures, specifications, and standards.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions or workflow disruptions.
- Regularly inspect products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Address and document any defects or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Implement and uphold quality control measures, striving for continuous improvement in production processes and product quality.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the work area.
- Conduct safety training and briefings to keep the team informed about safety practices and any updates on regulations.
- Train new employees on job responsibilities, equipment uses, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Provide ongoing training and support to help team members develop their skills and improve performance.
- Share best practices and knowledge with the team to foster continuous learning and improvement.
- Monitor the inventory of components and materials needed for production.
- Ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and reorder supplies as needed.
- Oversee the handling and storage of materials to prevent damage and ensure efficient use.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including any deviations from standard procedures, quality issues, and equipment performance.
- Provide regular reports on production metrics, team performance, and any issues to management.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and complies with company and regulatory requirements.
- 3+ years’ experience in a distribution, cargo, warehouse, etc.
- General knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions
- Previous leadership experience in warehouse environment.
- Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong time management of self and others.
