Compression Operator (3rd Shift, Cleveland, OH, Manufacturing) TEMP TO PERM - Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain Cleveland, OH is looking for a 3rd shift Compression Molding Operator. This position will be TEMP to PERM.
Training will be on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.
3rd Shift Hours: 10:30pm-7:00am, Sunday-Thursday,
1st Shift Training Hours: 6:30am - 3pm, Monday - Friday,

The Compression Molding Operator on 3rd Shift will perform tasks associated with the production of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. This position will set-up all required mold tooling and materials per work order instructions. In addition, this role will be responsible for mixing the raw materials, operating molding presses, handling tool equipment and forklift operations to perform job duties. The role is responsible for running production orders safely while maintaining quality of molded products.

Responsibilities
+ Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.
+ Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS program. Handle raw material in an environmentally responsible manner.
+ Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment.
+ Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
+ Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly.
+ Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery.
+ Ability escalate problems as they arise within the Compression department.
+ Perform visual inspections and identify non-conforming part and inform Cell Lead.
+ Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, etc.
+ Demonstrate basic blue print reading.
+ Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment.
+ Follow Saint-Gobain principles of conduct and action, and exemplify the Saint-Gobain Attitudes.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous compression molding experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• 6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in above average temperatures.
• Maintain high attendance standards.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime (Friday) is a plus.

• Vision - Ability to view/see parts for visual inspection and measuring
• Reading and Writing - Expressing or receiving detailed information by nonverbal means
• Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch - Requires use of the lower extremities and back muscles
• Standing/Walking - Particularly for sustained periods of time
• Finger/Grasp/Handle/Feel - Working primarily with fingers
• Talk/Hear - Expressing or receiving detailed information by means of spoken word
• Repetitive Motions - Substantial movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Working in above ambient temperatures
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
