Computer Hardware Engineer for Livonia, MI:
Will develop and execute test plans based on internal and external requirements; Operate a test tools, capture test results and complete associated test reports; Defining power distribution, grounding topology, CAN mech diagram & power mech diagram creation to develop vehicle schematic from reverse engineering; Understanding & documenting general electrical features/ electrical and electronic functions of vehicles and contrast with customer's competitor vehicle; Coordinate with a globally based, cross-functional team and release electrical and electronics Bill of material; Interact with customer and understand customer requirement; Create, analyze, and update technical documentation, test plans, and test reports; Perform occasional in and out-of-town testing for vehicle performance analysis; Ensure complete and consistent inputs and deliverables for schedule adherence process planning application; Ensure deliverables in terms of timing and quality in compliance with SLA; Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering sessions to generate cost saving ideas based on but not limited to cost, mass and manufacturing processes; Report findings daily to the Value Analysis/Value Engineering team; Mentor and guide junior engineers; Electrical harness wire tracing by ring out check & circuit board wire tracing to develop vehicle level schematic design; Maintain, track and create weekly update reports for Bill of Material, test plan analysis and Value Analysis/Value Engineering reports.
Masters's Degree in Computer Engineering or master's in electronic engineering with 2 years' experience is required, foreign equivalent accepted, 40 hrs. per week.
