This individual must be process driven, focused, and able to handle multiple projects and occasional system emergencies with proficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary function of this position will be the Lead Troubleshooter to resolve issues on computer hardware such as label printers, wireless, barcode scanners and Dell/Wyse thin clients.
- Provide general IT Helpdesk support for day-to-day requests.
- Escalate support issues to lead IT personnel and work side by side with that person to perform a knowledge transfer to improve their own skillset.
- Provide on-site and remote end user support with focus on:
- Client satisfaction
- Service delivery quality
- Technical excellence - Perform network diagnostics and repairs as directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain technical issues in clear and understandable language.
- Associate degree in information technology or similar field. A+ or Network+ certification a plus.
- Must have a minimum of five years of computer hardware hands-on experience.
- 2 years server/network administration experience
- Ability to communicate with users over the phone and provide remote support and using a variety of remote support tools.
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter – function autonomously, with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of and practical support experience of Backup processes, software and hardware
- Working knowledge of WLAN, security concepts
- Working knowledge of the following protocols and networking services: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2 Switching.
- Working knowledge of and practical support experience of Backup processes, software and hardware
- Good understanding of and practical deployment experience of Client Mobile messaging devices including iPhones, Androids and Tablets.
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Be willing to accept constructive feedback.
- Be a reliable teammate and willing to assist in other IT functions when needed.
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Able to work independently or within a group.
- Be on an “On-Call” rotation to handle after-hour emergencies. May include off hour’s onsite visits.
- Work from one of the client’s manufacturing facilities full-time with one day per week allocated to working remote.
- Be willing to travel to other facilities up to 25% of the time.
- The majority of work will be performed at onsite locations which may vary in terms of quality of workspace. Must be able to lift, carry, and reposition all parts of user workstations, servers, network appliances, printers and other information technology equipment as required. Driving or commuting to different locations may be required.
