Computer Technician - A+ - Piper Companies

Qualifications:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide computer repair services for faculty, staff, and students at UNC Chapel Hill, as well as supported K-12 school systems.

Computer Hardware Repair. Diagnose the cause of failed computer hardware components and perform the repair using the appropriate established vendor and business processes. 

• Communication to customers. Keep customers informed of the status of their requested repairs, including delays due to parts that need to be ordered or parts on backorder. Additionally, make customers aware of any other unusual delays and expected resolution times.  They must be able to consult with the computer users, associated IT support personnel, their peers and their management on the resolution of computer hardware issues when needed.
