Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A high school diploma/GED; computer skills required.
Experience: Three years general secretarial background with experience in answering phones, bookkeeping and customer service. Experience in marketing and/or senior living community work is a plus.
Position Summary: The Concierge is the support person for the Business Office Manager and other departments. This person is responsible for the first impressions of the community. They will manage both external and internal calls, greet residents, prospective residents and staff ensuring that their first interaction with Silver Comet Village is a positive one.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initial point of contact for residents, potential residents, families, vendors and the community at large.
- Always using a professional and courteous voice, answer the main line in a timely manner and transfer calls.
- Transfer staff calls but give them the option to leave message with Concierge. Take detailed messages with name, date, time, reason for call and return phone number.
- Ensure team members receive their phone message promptly via email.
- Answer Vigil calls for assistance from residents.
- Maintain daily census for IL, AL/MS - AL
- Assist residents with service requests.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance for the front desk, lobby and reception area.
- Monitor Bistro area for refreshments, appearance, snacks and cleanliness.
- Assist residents with returning packages i.e. Amazon
- Other duties as assigned by Business Office Manager.

- Fully understand all aspects of residents' rights; maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services to them. Interact in a manner that promotes the emotional well-being of the resident.
- Respond to residents and family member concerns with empathy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance on conformity with dress code standards.
- Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.
Professional Development:
- Attend in-service training when required.
Physical Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and to exert 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical activity involves sitting, walking, standing, carrying, bending, lifting, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
