JOB SUMMARY:
The Concierge is responsible for ensuring that each of our Residents has the best experience possible throughout their stay at White Oaks. The Concierge is guided by the Administrator or designee to provide the highest level of customer service to each one of our Residents and guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF DAILY FUNCTIONING:
- Clock in at the assigned time. Employees will not be paid for time not worked.
- Report to the Administrative Office for list of new residents to interview, or other assignment.
- Engage residents in conversation following Concierge Interview Form i.e., “how are you doing?” and bring any concerns to Charge nurse and the appropriate Department Head.
- Offer resident books, puzzles, etc., during visit.
- Ensure that resident has seating in room for his/her visitors.
- Transport residents to assigned dining room, activities, or beauty parlor at resident’s request and unless as otherwise directed by nursing.
- Answer phones on 1 North/1 South.
- Works with a minimum of supervision. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, co-workers, and support agencies.
- Must be able to observe, listen and communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
- Upholds facility policies and Mission Statement as well as the Resident’s Bill of Rights.
- Abides by the facility’s HIPAA regulations and holds all resident information confidential.
- Understands the policies and responsibilities concerning infection control, safety, accident and fire prevention.
- Responds to resident call bells and alarms in room, bathroom, bed, and wheelchair and informs nursing ensuring resident’s safety.
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile residents and treat them with dignity and respect.
- He/she demonstrates awareness of safety issues and maintains a safe environment throughout the facility.
- Discuss any problems, needs or concerns which may arise with the Nursing Supervisor and/or the Administrator.
- Attends In-service education classes and on-the-job training programs as directed.
- Greet new admissions.
- Make/Strip beds.
- Make sure rooms are ready for new admissions.
- Google reviews.
- Assess any concerns of the families of residents.
